Homestead Hardware, LLC - Return Policy


Homestead Hardware, LLC (Homestead Hardware) strives to provide and deliver high-quality products to our customers. If, for any reason, you are not satisfied with a product you have purchased from Homestead Hardware, we will accept your return of the product.

 

We will only accept product returns that are initiated within 45 days of the date of delivery of your order. We encourage all customers to inspect their orders immediately upon receipt - it is your responsibility to check that all goods you received from Homestead Hardware have been delivered correctly as ordered and are in satisfactory condition. (Warranty claims can be made outside the 45-day period. See "Warranty Claims" below.)

 

All returns must have a Return Goods Authorization (RGA) number issued by Homestead Hardware. You can obtain an RGA number using the form "Initiate a Return" below.

 

All returned goods must meet the following guidelines to be considered for refund or exchange:

  • All returned goods must be documented in a valid RGA issued by Homestead Hardware.
  • All returned goods must be in resalable condition.
  • All returned goods must not have been installed or used in any way.
  • All returned goods must be free of damage and defects (unless delivered in such condition).
  • All returned goods must be sent in original packaging, with all parts/manuals/etc. intact.
  • All returned goods must have been originally purchased from Homestead Hardware.

 

Your returned product(s) may be subject to applicable restocking fees (see "Restocking Fees" below).

 

If your product(s) is/are defective or you received the wrong product(s), Homestead Hardware will provide a return shipping label for your use to return the product(s). Shipping costs of all other returns are the responsibility of the customer.

 

Customers are responsible for using proper packing materials and methods such as boxes, padding/stuffing, and packing tape to ensure the returned goods will be safe from damage during transit. We highly recommend customers use a trackable, insured shipping method such as UPS or FedEx for making returns. Returned goods that arrive damaged will not receive credit or exchange goods. Homestead Hardware is not responsible for return shipments lost in transit.

 

Once returns are received, customers will receive applicable refunds or exchange goods (see "Refunds" and "Exchanges" below).

 

 

Restocking Fees


Returns of product(s) that are defective will not be subject to a restocking fee.

If you received incorrect products by our mistake, you may return them and they will not be subject to a restocking fee.

 

Any and all other product returns are subject to the following restocking fees:

  • Bravura - All returned Bravura brand products are subject to a 30% restocking fee. All special split-style or split-finish Bravura items are subject to a 40% restocking fee
  • Emtek Products - All returned Emtek brand products are subject to a 30% restocking fee.
  • Johnson Hardware - All returned Johnson pocket door kits are subject to a 35% restocking fee.
  • All other returns are subject to a 10% restocking fee.

 

 

Refunds


Once Homestead Hardware receives your return, you will given a refund equal to the original value of the returned goods less any applicable restocking fees. Refunds will be issued to the credit card used to complete the original transaction.

 

Please allow 2-3 weeks for Homestead Hardware to process refunds after receiving your return.

 

Only complete product sets are eligible to be returned for a refund. Individual parts and pieces contained in a product's box (such as screws, latch parts, etc.) are not eligible for refund.

 

 

Exchanges


To obtain new or replacement products simply purchase them by placing a new order through our website. Then return your unwanted products following the Return Policy defined on this page and you will receive a full credit LESS all applicable restocking fees after we receive your returned products.

 

 

Warranty Claims


If you have a defective product that is still under the manufacturer's warranty, you may exchange it for a new replacement of the same product. We will ship you a new replacement product and with it we will include a return document and shipping label for you to send back the defective product. Once you receive your replacement product, you will have 30 days to return the defective product. If we do not receive your return after 30 days, you authorize Homestead Hardware to charge your credit card for the value of the replacement product that we shipped.

All warranty coverage is by the manufacturer only.

 

 

Initiate a Return


A return is considered initiated once the customer has been issued an RGA (Return Goods Authorization) number from Homestead Hardware. Returns must be initiated within 45 days of the delivery date of the goods.

 

To request an RGA number, please submit an RGA request using the web form below or call customer service. Your RGA number will be emailed to you along with instructions for making the return. You must write your RGA number on the outside of all your return packages.

 

Your RGA will expire in 10 business days from the date it is issued by Homestead Hardware. If we do not receive your full return within 10 days of issuing an RGA, you must apply for a new RGA and it must still be initiated within the same 45-day return time frame.

 

Returns received with no RGA or an expired RGA may not received credit or exchange.
