Homestead Hardware strives to provide and deliver high-quality products in perfect condition to our customers. If, for any reason, you are not satisfied with a product you have purchased from Homestead Hardware, we will accept your return of the product.
We will only accept returns that are initiated within 30 days of the date of delivery of the products. We encourage all customers to inspect their orders immediately upon receipt - it is your responsibility to check that all goods you received from Homestead Hardware have been delivered correctly as ordered and are in satisfactory condition. (Returns of items under warranty can be initiated outside the 30-day period. See "Warranty Claims" below.)
To initiate a return, you must obtain an RGA (Return Goods Authorization) number (see "Initiate a Return" below).
All returned goods must meet the following guidelines to be considered for refund or exchange:
All returns may be subject to applicable restocking fees (see "Restocking Fees" below).
Customers are responsible for any shipping costs necessary to make the return, unless the return is a result of our error in which case we will provide a return shipping label. Customers are responsible for using proper packing materials and methods such as boxes, padding/stuffing, and packing tape to ensure the returned goods will be safe from damage during transit. We highly recommend customers use a trackable, insured shipping method such as UPS or FedEx for making returns. Returned goods that arrive damaged will not receive credit or exchange goods. Homestead Hardware is not responsible for return shipments lost in transit.
Once returns are received, customers will receive applicable refunds or exchange goods (see "Refunds" and "Exchanges" below).
The following restocking fees apply to returned goods:
Goods that are returned as a result of defectiveness will not be subject to a restocking fee.
Goods that are returned as a result of not being delivered in correct accordance with the original order specifications set forth by the customer at the time of purchase will not be subject to a restocking fee.
Once Homestead Hardware receives your return, you will given a refund equal to the original cost of the returned goods less any applicable restocking fees. Refunds will be issued to the credit card used to complete the original transaction.
Please allow 2-3 weeks for Homestead Hardware to process refunds after receiving your return.
To obtain new or replacement goods in exchange for returned goods, customers may purchase the goods by placing a new order through Homestead Hardware and wait to receive their applicable refund after we process their return.
Or, customers can wait for Homestead Hardware to ship their exchange goods after we have received and processed the returned goods and all applicable restocking fees have been paid for by the customer.
Warranty claims can be initiated anytime goods qualify under the manufacturer's warranty. Warranty coverage differs among each manufacturer. Please submit for an RGA request using the web form below, or contact customer service for a warranty claim.
Homestead Hardware does not warranty any items. All warranty coverage is by the manufacturer only.
A return is considered initiated once the customer has been issued an RGA (Return Goods Authorization) number from Homestead Hardware. Returns must be initiated within 30 days of the delivery date of the goods.
To request an RGA number, please submit an RGA request using the web form below or call customer service. Your RGA number will be emailed to you along with instructions for making the return. You must write your RGA number on the outside of all your return packages.
Your RGA will expire in 10 business days from the date it is issued by Homestead Hardware. If we do not receive your full return within 10 days of issuing an RGA, you must apply for a new RGA and it must still be initiated within the same 30-day return time frame.
Returns received with no RGA or an expired RGA may not received credit or exchange.
