Homestead Hardware uses address verification and zip code matching for all credit card transactions to ensure that you, the cardholder, are indeed the person using your card for payments. The 3-digit CVV code seen on the back of your credit card is matched with the street address and zip code of the billing address that corresponds to that card. We ONLY process orders if both the billing address and billing zip code match with the CVV credit card data AND the credit company authorizes the charge. If either the address or zip code does not match the CVV code provided, the charge to your card will be rejected and we will call you to verify the use of your card. These measures prevent unauthorized use of credit cards.
